The Eduroam network is the most recommended option to connect to the Wi-Fi in the university. It is available to computers and mobile devices. This network brings many benefits over the other campus Wi-Fi network called “UAB-provisional”. Let us explain it to you:
To configure the Eduroam network connection, it is recommended to use the automatic configuration tools. You will only have to do it once and it will be available for all the institutions subscribed to this service. This means that once you have configured it from the UAB campus, you will be able to visit other universities and the Wi-Fi network will continue to work without doing the whole process again.
When you access Eduroam Autoconfiguration Client from the campus, it will show you the profile installer indicated for the device you are using. Click the button to download and install the configuration profile. From this point on, you just have to follow the instructions to perform the correct installation of the profile.

For the correct configuration, it is very important to enter niu@uab.cat in the username field and your password associated with your user.
We recommend the use of the Eduroam Wi-Fi network for the entire university community due to its high security and connectivity standards. Guest users who don’t have NIU, can use the open Wi-Fi network ‘UAB’.
